Bought this after trying all the other stuff for seperation anxiety. Our little dog just hated when we left for work and would howl and bark off and on all day. We bought Gerty and followed the instructions..dressed her in clothes I had worn, talked and hugged her for 2 days. We would put food beside Gerty on the second day and she started warming up to her. I'm currently writing this while at work and my dog is curled up to Gerty on the couch sleeping! She is totally relaxed and obviously thinks it's a real person! It's definitely worth a try!!
LIFE CHANGING For Our Dogs With Separation Anxiety
Ok— words cannot express how surprised we are by Gerty. We have a golden retriever who has suffered his whole life from separation anxiety (I think because I didn’t leave him at home enough when he was a puppy) We have tried everything— supplements, crate training, etc) We were skeptical at first, but after a couple days, and the proper introduction… he is totally comfortable and happy for the first time being left alone. I think he just wanted a companion to know he wasn’t stranded.
I Hate That it Worked
I'm glad my dog has someone home with her to ease her anxiety when I'm at work, but now I have this blow up doll that I have to explain is not a blow up doll whenever someone comes over. My dog rates this a 10/10
